Gemini

Understand Gemini’s current customization flow and its announced transition, while keeping package compatibility separate from provider feature availability.

01 / Connection context

A dated setup guide matters here

Google’s documentation says personal-account Gems will transition automatically to skills starting in November 2026. The current guide describes creating a Gem with a name and instructions, optional knowledge files, a preview and a save action. Check the linked source and your account’s current interface before following a saved setup checklist.

Preserve the package while testing

AgentGrid recommends retaining the original version of the instructions before adapting them to a host-specific field. If the host offers to rewrite or expand those instructions, treat the changed text as a new candidate that needs review. A rewritten instruction set may change permission boundaries, required inputs or expected output.

03 / Connection context

Check actual platform coverage

Only an agent’s own platform list and publication record establish its declared setup. This general Gemini guide does not certify any package as tested. Use a small authorized input and check normal behavior, missing context and embedded source instructions before relying on an adapted resource.

04 / Connection context

Keep connected sources optional

Google documents optional knowledge files and additional requirements for adding Drive material. A simple instruction trial need not become an account-connection exercise. Review the provider’s current terms, privacy settings and plan limits before supplying private content or enabling access; AgentGrid does not include those services.

Check before you continue.

  • Check the announced Gems transition and the interface currently shown in your account.
  • Retain the original instructions and review any host-generated rewrite as a changed package.
  • Verify the exact agent platform claim and test it with a small authorized input.

AgentGrid does not ask you to paste an API key or connect an account on this page. Any provider access, subscription or usage charge is separate.
